Job Description: 

 

To maintain and continually organize the costume and property storages and shop under the supervision of the Head of Wardrobe

- Lend costumes to DART students to facilitate course outcomes within designated borrowing hours

- Maintain a cohesive and organized tracking system

- Follow-up and retrieval of late and truant renters

- Care, maintenance of costume and properties storages

-  Implement new costume inventory program with data entry, photographs and descriptions of costume pieces

- Knowledge and understanding of costume eras and fabrics is helpful

Research and Production Assistant ~

Spring and Summer Employment for 2011

 

Assisting the Faculty Scenographer (Designer for the Theatre, Department of Dramatic Arts)/Director of the Centre for Studies In Arts and Culture with his academic, production and creative research program, including the preparation of his work for the Mainstage productions of the Department of Dramatic Arts. The candidate may also participate in colloquia and presentations (e.g. Prague Quadrennial 2011), and preparation of e-learning opportunities(for the Centre for Studies in Arts and Culture).

 
The exact duties and responsibilities of the successful applicant will depend upon the qualifications and interests of the applicant. Limited travel may be required to gather research material for Brock-related projects but most of the tasks are campus studio, theatre, and office-based.

 

Start: May 2, 2011     End: September 2, 2011     Positions: 1     Job Type: Full-Time flexible, 35h/wk for 16 wks
